FAQ
Yes, you can still see your family doctor!
You can also choose to see a Nurse Practitioner as your primary care provider as an alternative to a family Physician.
What is a Nurse Practitioner?
A Primary Care Nurse Practitioner is a Nurse with specialized education and skills that can work both independently and collaboratively in a variety of health care settings. NP’s can initiate treatments, diagnose diseases, disorders and conditions, prescribe medications and order lab tests, x-rays and other diagnostic tests within their scope of practice. What kind of health-care services do nurse practitioners provide?
Do nurse practitioners replace other health-care professionals? Will I still be able to see my doctor?
NPs work in collaboration with other health-care providers. They are part of an interdisciplinary team that includes registered nurses, physicians, physiotherapists and others. Why might I need a Gut Health Assessment?
New medical research now correlates that some chronic illnesses are linked to autoimmune conditions, Autism, Neurologic & Mental Health Conditions.
“I was given beyond the best care from Andrena the nurse practitioner. She truly cared about my feelings and helped me when no one else could figure out what was wrong with me. She truly changed my life forever and I wouldn’t be where I am today without her. She is very compassionate with her patients and gives them the best care possible. Anyone that is lucky enough to have her care for them will be truly blessed!”
